World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth was released in four distinct editions - the digital standard edition, the standard edition, digital deluxe edition, and collector's edition. The Collector's Edition was announced on July 8, 2020, to be later in August 27 confirmed that this would be the first Collector's Edition to be shipped earlier to the release, in October 13 this shipping wasn't affected by the release delay and was effectively done in the announced date. On November 1, 2019, the pre-orders for this expansion were announced, allowing customers to acquire any of the three digital editions and immediately obtaining their in-game goodies included, as well as the ability to upgrade the lower ones at a later time paying the difference. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands was pre-released in 3 distinct all-digital editionsā -the base edition, the heroic edition, and the epic editionā -later adding the collector's edition, the only physical one.
